This course is designed for the busy professional who desires to improve his or her knowledge and credentials but has little time for classroom training. This independent study course consists of ten assignments that can be completed at the student’s own pace and earns a Professional Certification in Environmental Health & Safety. Understanding the quagmire of OSHA, EPA, DOT and other applicable regulations can be an overwhelming task.
The Environmental Health & Safety Professional Certificate course clarifies your responsibilities in workplace safety and environmental protection and ensures that you have both the “know how” and the resources to meet those responsibilities. This independent study is excellent for the new Safety and/or Environmental Manager, the experienced Safety and/or Environmental Manager who wants an update, or the Safety and/or Environmental Manager who wants to achieve certification. The required amount of time to complete the course is dependent upon your knowledge of workplace safety, but we find that the average completion time is approximately 24 hours. You have up to six months to complete the course.

Certification:
Environmental Health & Safety Professional Certificate (EHS)
Course Requirements:
This is a stand-alone course with no additional components. The ten lessons are available by computer downloads. At the end of each lesson, there are exercises to be completed and returned. When all exercises have been submitted, you will then take a final online exam.
Online Exams:
The student will take a comprehensive online exam at the end of the course. You must score 80% to receive certification. You have two opportunities to pass the exam.
Recertification:
A refresher course and exam will be required every three (3) years.
