Teaching and Assessment

How you will learn

This course is taught in small interactive workshops of up to 30 students where you will discuss a specific business topic. Your lecturer will provide a subject with appropriate context, give you tasks to work on, encourage group discussion and provide feedback on the session. You will join a close and supportive environment and develop a wide range of soft skills such as teamwork, communication and time management.

The majority of the course is taught through practical tasks which involve problem solving and developing ideas. You will be able to work with real clients and business on current commercial and business problems and projects. These projects will provide the basis for some assessments and enable you to apply your learning to authentic commercial situations.

This degree has minimal exams and focuses on action and problem based assessments, with most assessments based on presentations, portfolio work or reports.

“I chose to study a business degree at Chichester because the lectures are run in small workshop style sessions with more “facetime” with the lecturers, and I felt that I would learn more in this environment.”
